: How to Get a Home Typing Job
|
|
Are you a fast typer? Do you want to work from home? A job
as a typist could be for you. Here are some tips to help you
get the position.
Steps
- Freelance. Freelancing is selling your services on a project
by project basis. Many home-based typists are freelancers
and there is plenty of work to be had. The competition for
freelance positions can be fierce. Remember that if you
do a particularly good job, you are likely to be hired on
by the same client for future projects. The most succesful
freelancers have built up a loyal base of clients that they
receive work from.
- Become an Ad Typist. This can be very lucrative (more
so than freelancing), but requires some training before
you get the hang of it.
- Start looking locally. Put the word out to your friends
and neighbors that you are looking to take on clerical work
from home. Let the "grapevine" take over. Also, ask local
businesses if they could use help with overflow work and
such.
- Look at online classifieds sites such as Craigslist
and Backpage.
The "gigs" section often has jobs like this that you can
apply to.
